From aeaglesh@twcny.rr.com Sat Mar 06 11:52:29 2004 Newsgroups: alt.assassination.jfk Subject: Pitzer autopsy photos indicate suicide From: Date: 6 Mar 2004 12:52:29 -0500 A few days ago, I saw photographs taken at the autopsy on Lieutenant Commander William B. Pitzer who died as a result of a gunshot wound to the head on October 29, 1966 -- officially ruled a suicide. LCDR Pitzer has been linked to the Kennedy assassination by Dennis David, who has stated that he saw a movie film of the Kennedy autopsy in Pitzer's possession within a few days of 11/22/63. Since LCDR Pitzer died of a gunshot wound to the right temple and Mr. David maintained that Pitzer was left-handed, Pitzer's violent end has been judged as "mysterious" and linked to his knowledge of the aftermath of the Kennedy assassination. It has even been suggested that he was in possession of a copy of the Kennedy-autopsy movie at the time of his death. In 1995, Lieutenant Colonel Dan Marvin was told by Joyce Pitzer, the widow, that her husband was not, in fact, left-handed. I have confirmed this in conversation with two other members of the Pitzer family. In 1997, LTC Marvin obtained documents under the Freedom of Information Act from the FBI that indicated that LCDR Pitzer had sustained a bullet wound in the left temple as well as in the right temple. Two bullets wounds to the head would have shown that Pitzer was murdered. In 2000, Robert, son of LCDR Pitzer obtained a copy of a photograph of the death-scene that appeared to confirm a wound in the left temple. In 2003, Robert Pitzer obtained photographs taken at the autopsy on his father's body. These were seen by researcher Kenneth Hersh: they revealed that there was no wound in the left temple. I saw about twenty of the autopsy photographs, and confirmed that there was no left-temple wound. The wound in the right temple had the characteristics of a tight-contact shot, indicating that LCDR Pitzer committed suicide. More information on the story as a whole is available here: http://www.manuscriptservice.com/Pitzer.html More information on the wounds is available here: http://www.manuscriptservice.com/Article-6.html and be sure to scan to the foot of the page. Allan Eaglesham PS If LCDR Pitzer did kill himself, it does not preclude the possibility that he had in his possession -- at least soon after the assassination -- a movie film of the Kennedy autopsy.
