Subject: Aguilar's "Back of the Head" Witnesses - 14 Date: Fri, 15 Jun 2001 03:13:50 GMT From: jmcadams@primenet.com (John McAdams) Organization: Marquette University Newsgroups: alt.assassination.jfk Followup-To: alt.assassination.jfk Gary Aguilar claims to have examined the testimony of 46 witnesses to Kennedy's head wound, at both Parkland and Bethesda, and found that 44 of the 46 described the head wound as contradicting the photos and x-rays of the autopsy as they exist in the National Archives. So does Gary have 44 "back of the head" witnesses? And are his 46 witnesses selected so as to avoid witnesses who placed the wound at the top of the head, or the side of the head? Let's take one example: The following quotes from Aguilar are taken from: http://www.assassinationweb.com/ag6.htm -------------------------------------------- 21) CHESTER H. BOYERS - Boyers "was stationed at Bethesda naval hospital and was the chief Petty Officer in charge of the Pathology Department in November 1963." (HSCA Telephone contact--Mark Flanagan, 4/25/78, rec #? 13614). Flanagan reported, "In regard to the wounds Boyers recalls an entrance wound in the rear of the head to the right of the external occipital protuberance which exited along the top, right side of the head towards the rear and just above the right eyebrow." (HSCA Telephone contact--Mark Flanagan, 4/25/78, rec #? 13614, p. 2.). --------------------------------------------- This is yet another case where it is extremely difficult to see how it could be classified as "back of the head" testimony. Sure . . . there is *a* "back of the head" wound here. But the *wrong* wound is in the back of the head. Augilar continually quotes witnesses saying that the "exit" wound was in the back of the head. But Boyers places the exit wound -- presumably the large one -- "along the top, right side of the head towards the rear, and just above the right eyebrow." He seems to be describing the entire right side of the head blown out, not the rear. .John The Kennedy Assassination Home Page http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/home.htm
