From john.mcadams@marquette.edu Sat May 27 13:14:23 2006 Newsgroups: alt.assassination.jfk Subject: Aguilar's "Back of the Head" Witnesses - 23 From: john.mcadams@marquette.edu (John McAdams) Date: Sat, 27 May 2006 18:14:23 GMT Gary Aguilar claims to have examined the testimony of 46 witnesses to Kennedy's head wound, at both Parkland and Bethesda, and found that 44 of the 46 described the head wound as contradicting the photos and x-rays of the autopsy as they exist in the National Archives. So does Gary have 44 "back of the head" witnesses? And are his 46 witnesses selected so as to avoid witnesses who placed the wound at the top of the head, or the side of the head? Let's take one example: The following quotes from Aguilar are taken from: http://www.assassinationweb.com/ag6.htm ------------------------------------ 19) SECRET SERVICE AGENT CLINT HILL: described the wounds he saw at Parkland as, "The right rear portion of his head was missing. It was lying in the rear seat of the car. His brain was exposed...There was so much blood you could not tell if there had been any other wound or not, except for the one large gaping wound in the right rear portion of the head." (WC--V2:141) -------------------------------------- As is the case with all of these witnesses, this testimony is quite vague. But of course Aguilar wants to get the wound as far toward the back of the head as possible. Since he believes the "great defect" extended into occipital bone, he classifies Hill as one of his "Back of the Head" witnesses. And by "back of the head," Aguilar doesn't merely mean "posterior," he means "into occipital bone." But given that the above description is vague, we might wonder, "did Hill ever give any more precise description?" The answer is "yes." Hill appears in the National Geographic special titled "Inside the U.S. Secret Service." In that documentary, Hill explains that after he climbed onto the limo: ------------------------------- I could see the back of his head and there was a gaping hole above his right ear about the size of my palm. ------------------------------ http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/ClintHill.htm In a 2017 interview, he shows where the explosion of Kennedy's head was: https://youtu.be/vzYwCmDDSLA?t=27m33s These description is *inconsistent* with conspiracist depictions of the would like this one in SIX SECONDS IN DALLAS. http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/head2.gif But are consistent with other witnesses like nurse Doris Nelson: http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/nelson.jpg . . . and doctor Charles Carrico: http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/images/carrico_skull.GIF It is also consistent with the Dox drawing done for the HSCA: http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/dox2big.jpg The Dox drawing places the large skull defect where the autopsy photos and x-rays show it. .John The Kennedy Assassination Home Page http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/home.htm
