Subject: Aguilar's "Back of the Head" Witnesses - 4 Date: Sat, 02 Jun 2001 15:24:12 GMT From: jmcadams@primenet.com (John McAdams) Organization: Marquette University Newsgroups: alt.assassination.jfk Followup-To: alt.assassination.jfk Gary Aguilar claims to have examined the testimony of 46 witnesses to Kennedy's head wound, at both Parkland and Bethesda, and found that 44 of the 46 described the head wound as contradicting the photos and x-rays of the autopsy as they exist in the National Archives. So does Gary have 44 "back of the head" witnesses? And are his 46 witnesses selected so as to avoid witnesses who placed the wound at the top of the head, or the side of the head? Let's take one example: The following quotes from Aguilar are taken from: http://www.assassinationweb.com/ag6.htm >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 20) CAPTAIN JOHN STOVER - then Commanding Officer of the National Naval Medical School, he gave no description of the skull wound to the Warren Commission. (The Pathology Department was under the jurisdiction of the school.) The HSCA's Mark Flanagan reported that he interviewed him and, "Stover observed...a wound on the top of the head...".(HSCA Document received from C. Cunningham, 10-22-92) <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< The interesting thing about this is the fact that Aguilar could classify a witness who quite clearly said "top of the head" as a "back of the head" witness. As for Stover's testimony, either Aguilar is slightly misquoting it, or there is another Stover document that I don't have. My interview (Record Number 180-10117-10087, Agency File number 015053) says that "Stover recalled seeing . . . a severe wound to the top of the head." Regardless, Stover is a "top of the head" witness, not a "back of the head witness." .John The Kennedy Assassination Home Page http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/home.htm
